How to secure your Zoom Meetings

The video conferencing app Zoom has gained significant traction especially during the COVID-19 crisis. With most people working from home, businesses and individuals are using the app more often to connect.

The app was in the news recently due to its security lapses and Zoom itself was the first to admit that the unforeseen rise in its user base had left many using the platform without the security and privacy they need.

Despite several security updates to Zoom in the recent weeks, here are some additional steps you can take to make sure the Zoom app is as secure as possible.

1. Keep the app up to date
2. Use passwords to protect your meeting and never share your meeting ID
3. Do not share your password over a public internet
4. Beware of phishing scams
